Professor Núñez visits the ILC

The ILC would like to welcome Professor Manuel

Núñez Poblete to the Indigenous Law Centre and UNSW.  Professor  Núñez is visiting in early September and is currently working on research about the Indigenous land rights regime in Australia. This research forms part of a larger project about Indigenous property rights under ILO Convention 169 regime, funded by the Chilean Commission of Science & Technology (CONICYT).  Professor Núñez , who teaches Public Law at the Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso in Chile, is particularly interested in the Australian experience from a comparative perspective, outside the ILO Convention. Professor Núñez is also a member of the Board of the Instituto Nacional de Derechos Humanos, the National Institution of Human Rights (NHRI) in Chile.
