Australian Indigenous Law Review

The Australian Indigenous Law Review (AILR) is unique in Australian legal publishing. It brings current issues in Australian Indigenous law and policy together with developments affecting Indigenous peoples around the world. The AILR has been published quarterly since 1996. Volumes 01 through 10 were published as the Australian Indigenous Law Reporter. A full-text archive of these volumes is available at http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/journals/AILR/. The AILR is structured around two sections: Commentary and Court and Tribunal Decisions.

Commentary: This section contains scholarly, peer-reviewed articles by leading commentators on current issues.

Court and Tribunal Decisions: This section contains case notes on judgments or decisions of particular salience, both domestically and internationally. Where appropriate, notes relating to the progress of proceedings still pending are provided at the end of a case note.

Deadlines for Submissions are 1 February for publication in Volume 12.1 and 1 June for publication in Volume 12.2  Australian authors should note that the AILR is a DEST-recognised publication.
